Laughing Hysterically & Liking Flowers

Hi Cute Baby!

Laughing Hysterically

While I was laying down with you tonight, you were drinking milk from your cup (your ba-baaa). You accidentally made a squeaking sucking noise and that made you crack up. You were laughing hysterically. You were watching me to react, and when I laughed at you, you laughed hysterically even more. Then you started trying to mimic the sound by making the sound with your lips, then you'd laugh like crazy. You'd say "aggaiin", do it again, and laugh. I took a video. It was dark, but you can hear the silly laughing.

You had a puppy teddy bear in bed with you too. You kept saying "shhhhhh", "puppy seeeepinnn". It was pretty cute.

Flower From Judie

We had supper at the cottage tonight. After supper, you were wanting me to take you down to the stairs and were saying 'aaa buuutcch". You wanted to go over next door and see Butch. I took you over. You were shy when we got over to talk to him. "Doodie" (Judie) came out of the cottage and took you for a walk to her friend's cottage. While there, she gave you a big flower. I was so amazed when I seen you coming back with the flower in your hands. You weren't scared of the flower at all. You played with it all the way home. You used to be so scared of flowers. Even now, you are nervous of them. When I bring you over to flowers in the yard, you smile nervously, then reach out and gently touch the flowers, then say a quiet "aaaaaaaaaggh" and rub your hand a few times on your belly nervously. Its pretty cute.

I love you little baby!

Talking Lots

Hiya Cute Baby!!

You are saying lots of words now. You repeat a lot of words, but you also know many words.

Mommy and Daddy

You certainly know our names. I love it how you say our names. When we come into a room and you see us, you say our names with such excitement and a big smile on your face. You say "Daddeeeeeeeee" or "Mommeeeeeee". Its so cute... I just love it. Sometimes when we pick you up at Nikki's, you're standing in the window watching us coming up to the door and we can hear you say "Daddeeeeeee" and "Mommmeeeee".

Nana & Grumpy

You say both of their names a lot. Its cute when we're driving to the cottage. By the time we pull on to the cottage lane, you know where we're going. You start yelling Gungy Gungy Gungy with lots of excitement. You also yell Nanneee Nanneee with excitement. Or you say Gungeeeeee aaarrrryuuuu ... or Nanneeee aaarrryuuuu.
For Nana, you say Nanneeee. Lately when we started correcting you, you would say Neeenaaa.

Brenna

You say "Nenneeee". Many days on our way home, like today, you're in the car saying "Nenneee ... aaaryuuuuu".

Cameron

You call Cameron something like "Maamwaaan".

Devon

You've said Devon's name several times, but we're still not sure exactly what you were saying. Lately you've been calling him "brother". I don't know how you pronounce it well enough to write it down.

Emma

You say "memma" when you see yourself in pictures. You either say that or "babbeeeee". When you see a camera, you reach and say "babbeee, babbeeee" with lots of excitement. You want to look at yourself in the pictures. We have to becareful showing you because you like to play with the buttons and have pressed the buttons to delete a picture a few times.
Airplane

One evening out on the deck, you pointed up at a passing jet airplane with excitement. I said, that's an airplane. You were on an airplane when we went to Florida. Now, everytime we say "airplane", you look up at the sky trying to see it. You started out by saying "aaapeeen" but now you say "bepeeen". This evening when we were outside, you pointed at a jet in the sky and said "bepeeen".

Puppies
You love puppies. When you see the puppies at Nikki's, you say with excitement "pupppeeeeeeeees". You sometimes say "Hiiii pupppeeeees" or "Byeee pupppeees" when we're leaving.

Elly

You know how to say Nana & Grumpy's new puppy's name. You call her "ayeee". You mostly say "downnn ayeee" or "nooo ayeee". She's a young puppy, so she does lots of jumping and biting. You don't take any crap from her. When she's bothering you or jumping on you, you push her aside, say "nooo ayeee" and keep on walking or go about your business.

Kittie

You are always saying hi and bye to the kittie (maple). You say "hi kittieee".

Pushing Mommy & Daddy Away From The Computer

You like looking at pictures on the laptop and pushing buttons. We had photos up this evening, and let you play with the laptop under our supervision.. we were right behind you. You are so possessive. We were trying to help you out and you would push our hands out of the way and say "noooo noooo dadddeeeee" or "noooo noooo mommmeeee". Here's a picture of you pushing Mommy away.

Stuck

You say "uucckk uucckk" a lot. Mostly you get your arms stuck trying to get out of the straps on your car seat.

Honeycombs and Cereal

You love cereal. When you're hungry or in your highchair waiting for us to feed you, we can hear you saying "eeereealll". One morning the box of Honeycombs was out and you were saying "gungommbbs" or something like that. You like Honeycombs. You also like Cherios.

Supper

Tonight was a new one. It was near supper time and I realized you were saying "supper". You were actually saying "baabper". It sounded a lot like you saying "bottle" ... "baaabaaaa" as you say it.

Tent

You've learned to say "tennnt" after our camping trips this year. You were saying it when we were camping... you loved walking into the tent and walking around inside. Yesterday when mommy was showing you pictures, you seen a picture of the tent, pointed and said "tennnt".

Pop

You sure love pop. If we go out to eat and get pop, you are always reaching and saying "pock". You purse your lips for the straw, stick your chin out towards the straw and say "pock".

Pizza

We had pizza for supper tonight. I asked do you want some pizza and you gave a big nod. Then you started repeating "piz-zaaaa".

Shhhhhh

You sure love the TV show "In the Night Garden" on the Treehouse channel. It starts out with a little boy or girl laying down to bed with a parent rubbing their hand. You put your finger up to your lips and say "shhhhh". Its actually not quite a "shhhhh" yet... you are mostly just breathing out. You also do it at the end of the show when all the characters go to bed.

Down

When you want to get down out of your highchair, you say "doowwwwn".

Peekaboo

You play peekaboo a lot. You cover your eyes with your hands. We say "where's Emma" and you take your hands away and we say "peekaboo" or "there you are". You say something like "eeekaboo".

Cheesie

You really love cheesies. You say "cheesie cheesie".

Book

You love reading your books. You snuggle in on the floor beside me and reach for a book and say "ooook" or "booook".

Hot

Lately, you've been raising your hand as if to wave and saying "hottt" when we bring out hot food. We blow on it to cool it off for you.
I love you beautiful baby!

Tinkerbell Night Dress

Hi Silly Baby!

You sure do love your Tinkerbell night dress. Mommy and I bought it for you last spring. Last night, I was getting you dressed for bed and you grabbed the purple Tinkerbell night dress from your laundry basket and tried to put it on. You screamed and fussed a bit when I tried to take it from you, since it was in the laundry. Anyway, I put it on you. You do look pretty cute in it.

This morning, I took it off you to get you dressed in clothes for the day, but you grabbed it and fussed and tried to put it back on. I gave in and put it back on you. Later, Mommy compromised with you and put a clean Pooh night dress on you. You were happy enough with it. I guess you'll be wearing your night dress all day unless the babysitter (Nikki) can convince you to change :) Here's an older picture of you in your Pooh night dress. You're looking cute laying on your Dora couch.

You wore your tinkerbell one a couple weeks ago on a warm night. I didn't want to put it on you because it is a pretty warm night dress and it has long sleeves. When I was getting you ready for bed, you pulled it out of your dresser and insisted that I put it on you.

Earlier in the summer, you wore it one night and the next morning you wouldn't let Mommy take it off you, so we sent you to Nikki's with it on. You wore it all day and still had it on when we picked you up.

You're so cute and silly.
I love you big bunches!

Big-Kid Swing, Walking Down Cottage Deck Steps On Your Own, and Others

Hiya Little Baby B!

We were camping at Ponderosa Pines in New Brunswick on the weekend with Devon and Brenna. We took them horse back riding and on a 2 1/2 hour ATV ride. You spend the weekend with Nana and Grumpy. We picked you up at the cottage later in the afternoon. Here we are after our awesome ATV ride.

First Time on Big-Kid Swing?

While there, you wanted to be pushed on your swing. I pushed you for a while. Later, you wanted to sit on the big-kid swing. I lifted you up to sit on it. You grabbed the ropes just like you're supposed to and held on. I pushed you a little bit, but stayed close. I'm glad that you were ready to get off after a short time. You did really well. It might have been your first time on a big-kid swing.

Riding In Car on Sidewalk

You wanted to get into your black car. Grumpy told me that you liked being pushed down the patio-stone sidewalk and bumping into the deck steps. I pulled you back, then pushed you towards the steps, letting you bump against the steps. You'd immediately say "aagain!!". I did it over and over a few times. You were so cute. I'd say lift your feet, and you'd lift them up and push them up against the inside of the car so they wouldn't be dragging under the car. Here's a picture of you hanging out in your car on the sidewalk.

Squirrel Close Up

I was carrying you by the bird feeder and noticed a squirrel hanging upside down on it eating seeds. We stayed and watched him for a while. We were within reaching distance. He just sat there and ate while we watched. You pointed at him a few times, and he still didn't move. I was holding you so I couldn't get a really good picture. Here's the back of your head and arm with you up close to the squirrel.

Walking Down Small Deck Steps

Today, you started walking down the small deck steps all by yourself. You walked down both small steps (the ones towards Judie & Butch's and the ones toward the lane). Up until now, you'd ask for help by holding out your hand, or you would get down on your hands and knees and step down with your hands on. Today, you just walked over, paused, then stepped down, then did the same thing to walk down the second step to the ground. It was pretty amazing to watch you. Here's a picture of you about to start walking down the steps.

I love you baby!
