Camping Fundy, Nodding Yes, Waaa Rrrr Uuuu, Aaa Peeeen

Hi Sweet Baby!

Camping At Fundy Park

We went camping at Fundy National Park on the weekend. Brenna and her friend Andrea came too. We hiked on a few trails: Dickson Falls, Laverty Falls, Shiphaven and Point Wolfe Beach. We carried you in your backpack carrier. You loved it. You were pulling on Mommy's hair when she was carrying you on the Dickson Falls trail. You weren't in your carrier since last fall. You didn't really enjoy it then, but you sure loved it this time. We took you to Laverty falls last summer.

Here's you, Mommy and me at the look out at the entrance of the Dickson Falls trail.

Here's Mommy with you in the backpack carrier. You were pulling her hair, you brat.

Here' you and I on a trail at Point Wolfe, over looking the Shiphaven Beach.

Here you are just chillin in the sun. Such a cute and cool baby.

Here's you, Mommy and I at the lookout on the side of the road near the campground.

Here you are having supper at the campsite with Mommy, Brenna and Andrea.

Here you are trying to roast marshmellows with Brenna and Andrea.

You decided to go with cheesies instead. You look michevious. Silly girl.

Here's you, Mommy and I at the Third Vault Falls. Its about an hour walk to get there, but its really cool. I dipped your feet into the water. Brenna, Andrea and I went swimming in it... .the water is super freezing.

Here you are asleep in the tent after a long fun day. You're sleeping on your Dora couch. That's you under the blue tweety-bird blanket.

Nodding Yes

You started nodding "yes" at the end of last week. You've always been saying "noooo" when you really mean yes. You don't say yes yet, but you nod. If you answer "nooo", we ask if that's a "yes - no", and you nod yes.

Getting So Smart

You are getting so smart. You are saying and repeating lots of words. You also understand most of what we say to you. We ask you things like where are your shoes, are you hungry, do you want to get in your high chair, where's your cup, wait we'll look for your shoes, etc. You respond by saying no, nodding yes, pointing, etc.

Waaa rrrr uuuu

You say "where are you" … its more like "waaaaa rrrr uuuuu". Mommy gets you to say it sometimes. You say "Daddddeeee, waaaa rrr uuuu". Its pretty cute. You were saying it to the cat last night from your high chair. She walked by under your chair. You were looking around for her and said "Hiii kittteeeeeee, waaaa rrrr uuuuu".

Aaaaaa Peeeeeen

We were out on the deck yesterday evening. You were laying down in your empty frog sand box (I didn't put sand in it yet) and looking up at the sky. You then pointed up and made a happy sound to get my attention. It was a plane, way up high in the sky. I said that's an air plane. I said you were on an air plane when we went to Florida. You stood up and kept pointing at the plane. You tried to repeat after me… you said it a couple different ways, but you were pretty close. You said "aaaaa beeean". When Mommy came outside, you were still pointing and saying "aaaa beeean".

Driving Car

We spent the evening at the cottage. You were driving around in Campbell's electric 4x4 Jeep. You were pretty cute. I chased you all around the yard. Its amazing how smart you are to know where the "go" pedal is. You hold on to the steering wheel but you don't steer that well yet. Mommy was taking some videos of you. I left it in high gear while she was recording, so you were flying around the yard fast. You sure love those electric cars. Last weekend, we stopped at Toys R Us in Moncton. You sat in almost every electric car display model in the store... playing witht he steering whell and pressing on the "go" pedal.

I love you wonderful baby!

You Know Eyes, Mouth Etc / Say Lots of Names / Hand To Wak Down Stairs / Goooooo!

Hiya Baby!

Eyes Ears Mouth Nose & Tickling Dolly

You, Mommy, Cameron, Brenna and I went to Maid Marions for supper in Summerside a couple evenings ago. Brenna gave you her Cabbage Patch Kid Dollys. You had fun saying "eyes, nose, mouth, ears and toes" and pointing out those parts on the dolly and on Cameron. I took some videos of it. You were even kissing the dolly. Cameron tickled the dolly's toes and said "tickle tickle tickle". You repeated by making a sound by moving your tongue between your lips. It sounds something like "luggle luggle liggle liggle". Its pretty funny. You've been doing it a lot ever since.

Here you are pointing at your dolly's eye and saying "eye".

Here you are tickling your dolly's feet.

You Say Lots of Names

You are starting to say names other than "mommee and daddee". You call Cameron something like "murrmo" or "murrmon". You calll Brenna "neneee". You call Nana "naneee". You call Nana's sister Judie "doodee". I don't think you've come up with a word for Devon yet, but you will soon.
Look So Cute In Mornings
You look so cute and sweet in the mornings. You look so sweet and tired, sitting in your highchair with messy hair, snuggling your blanket and sucking your thumb. I tried to take some photos of your cuteness, but of course, you performed as soon as you saw the camera :) This photo shows your sweet cuteness.

Wanting to See The Babeee On The Camera

You still love looking at pictures of yourself. When you see the camera, you reach for it and say "babeee, babeee, babeee". You want to see the cute baby in the pictures and videos. You snuggle in and I flip through the pictures and videos of you on the camera. You point to the pictures of yourself and say "babeeeee". You also point to Mommy and I and say "mommeeeeee and daddeeeeee". Last night you were kissing the screen to kiss your own pictures.
Playing in Water With Grumpy
Last weekend at the cottage, you walked into the water with Grumpy. You had fun walking around and playing in the water.

Need a Hand To Walk Down Deck Stairs

You have so much fun at the cottage. You run around the deck and yard. You can slowly get down the two short steps of the deck to get to the yard. Most often, you walk to the steps then reach your hand back and say "uhhh uhhh" to get someone to take your hand to help you down. Its pretty cute.
Light Saber

You've been having fun playing with Devon's glowing light saber. You swing it around and make woosh and woo sounds. You must have heard Devon playing with it and making those sounds. You chased Brenna around the house one evening, swinging the light saber at her. She was scared :) Here's a photo of you with the light saber.

GOOOOOO!

You've been saying "GOOOOOOO" for a while. You would say it to the cat sometimes. You would walk up to her and point and say "Gooooo!" Last night and today you were saying it to Cameron. You were either pointing at him or pushing him and saying "Gooooo!" Its kinda rude, but we can't help finding it funny. Its most funny when you are snuggling in with Mommy or me, and if Brenna or Cameron comes over and looks at you and tries to say hi ... you sometimes say a low-growly "Guuuooooo".

I love you sweet baby!

Fun Game, Saying Lots of Words, and Other Stuff

Hi Cutie Emma!

Fun Game With Mommy & Daddy

The past two evenings, Mommy and I have been playing a fun game with you. I started by holding my arms out for you and saying "come here Emma". You than ran to me smiling. While you were running, Mommy was behind you saying "no no no... don't run to Daddy". I picked you up and gave you a big squeezy hug and said "my Emma". I'd then let you down, and Mommy would put her arms out for you. You ran to her, and I said "noooooo". You ran smiling and laughing. You'd say up long enough to get a hug, then you'd struggle to get down so you could run back to me. You kept doing it over and over. Smiling and laughing each time you ran. It's pretty cute.

Dora Couch/Bed

You sure do love your Dora couch. You like to sit down on it and pull your music table over so you can play on it. If you see the cat on your couch, you get mad. You scare her away, and then lay down on it. The other day, the cat jumped in your crib. You got really mad. After we moved the cat out, you wanted to get in your crib right away.

Saying Lots of Words and Counting

Recently, you are saying lots of things lately. Even at your appointment to get your needles last week, the nurse was asking about how much you are talking. We told her about some of the things you were saying, but at that time, you weren't saying nearly as much as you are now.
You love going outside. Sometimes when I'm carrying you by the patio doors, you point outside and say "iiide".
You call shoes "duuu duuus". You say that lots.
Tonight, we were teaching you to count. Mommy was counting things a the supper table... she'd count to 4 or 5, and you'd repeat saying "ooo ooo eee eee"
You say "eee iii eee iii ooo" a lot. When we sing "old MacDonald had a farm" ... you follow by saying "eee iii eee iii oooo". You sometimes just go around saying it even if we aren't singing.
You say so many other things. We'll tell you more about it another post.
We took some videos of you talking.

Feet On The Table

We pulled your high chair up to the table for the first time tonight... we usually leave your high chair tray on. You kept putting your foot up on the table... silly girl.

Dipping Your Food

Its funny to watch you eat. When we have sauce like donair sauce, ketchup or salad dressing, you like to dip. You pick up your food and dip it 3 or 4 times. I was saying "dip dip dip". You repeated by trying to say "dip dip dip". Tonight, you dipping pieces of hamburger in salad dressing.

Still Don't Like Going To Bed

I took you into your room tonight because you seemed tired. You started saying "noo" in a sad decisive voice while shaking your head. You've been saying that for quite a while when we try to put you to bed. I took you in to our bed and you layed down and relaxed... and fell asleep within a few minutes.

Fun In The Bath Again

You had fun in the bath last night. You seem to be starting to like the bath again. For the longest while, you didn't like the bath. You used to stand up... and wouldn't sit down for anything. You sit down again and play with your toys and splash like crazy.

Hair is Getting Long

Your hair is getting so long. We have to tie your hair back with pony and pig tails and keep moving it out of your eyes. When we were giving you a bath last night, we really noticed how long your hair is on the back when we were washing it.

I love you cute baby!

18 Month Vaccinations & Some Cute Stuff

Hi Cute Baby Bopper!

My Babaaa

Last night, we had you in bed with us trying to get you to sleep. You kept handing your sippy cup to me and saying "baa ba". When I reached for it, you'd pull it back and say "my baa ba" with a big grin on your face. You kept doing it over and over.

18 Month Vaccinations and Measurements

You got your 18 month vaccinations today. Three needles today :( It made you cry, but you stopped after a few seconds when the nurse gave you a new tooth brush. Good news is that you don't have to go back to the public health nurse until you are 4 years old. You weren't scheduled to have your measurements taken, but I asked he to anyway so I could write to you about them. Here are your measurements.

Weight: 26 lbs 4 ozs = 11.907 kg (70th percentile)
Height: 33 inches = 83.8 cm (75th percentile)

Playing With Your Musical Table

You like playing with your musical play table. A few times lately, you sit in on your new Dora couch and play music. Here's a cute picture of you in action.

Eeyaaaa (Here)

For the last couple weeks, you've been saying "here" a lot. You say it more like "eeyaaa". You go around trying to hand things to us. Tonight in the living room, you kept picking things up in the living room and bringing them to us and saying "eeyaaa".

I love you cute baby!

16 Teeth, Hard To Get To Sleep, Climbing On Crib, Saying Mommy & Daddy

Hi Cute Baby!

16 Teeth

You now have 16 teeth. The four teeth on the outside of your front four on the top and bottom came in. The top ones (your fangs) are almost all the way out. The bottom ones are out too.

Hard To Get You To Sleep

You've been hard to get to sleep for the past couple weeks. You don't want to go in your crib. You are hyper and want to run around and play. When we pick up up and carry you into your crib. You sook, look at your crib, shake your head and say a stern "nooo". Its sometimes pretty late by the time we get you to sleep. You do settle down nicely when we lay down with you in our bed. You go from being hyper to relaxing and sucking your thumb. You then often go to sleep within 5 or 10 minutes... sometime longer. We hope you start being a good girl again and going to bed in your crib at bed time.

Climbing On Your Crib

We'll soon have to get you a bigger bed. The other day while you were in your crib, you were standing up holding onto the rail, and put your foot up on top of the rail. You'll soon be able to climb out. The other day, you also climbed up on the crib rail from the outside. You held onto the rails with your hands, and stood up with both feet on the bottom part of the rails.

Saying Mommy & Daddy

You say "mommy" and "daddy" a lot now. You say it in an excited way... you say it in a regular way ... you say it in a sad sooky way.

I love you beautiful baby!

Visit Brianna & Adaat?

Hiya Little Baby!

Eating Cheesies

We visited our friends Scott, Jeanita and Brianna on the weekend. Brianna was born in September, about six weeks before you. You had lots of fun playing with Brianna and her toys. You two sat at her picnic table (which is the same as yours) and ate cheesies.

Playing in Sandbox

You and Brianna had fun playing in her frog sand box. They were on sale at Zellers so we got you one to take home.

Riding Brianna's Four-Wheeler

You had a lot of fun riding on Brianna's little electric four-wheeler. You roded it on the deck and around the yard.

Sitting On Potty

You kept going to the bathroom and sitting on Brianna's potty. Its a little early for you.

Adaat

While walking around Giant Tiger in Moncton, you stopped every step to say "adaat" (what's that)? We'd tell you what it was, then you'd move a step to the next item and say the same thing. You kept doing it over and over.

I love you beautiful baby!

Staying Up Late, Where's Mommy/Daddy, Talking On Phone

Staying Up Late

You've been staying up so late the past few nights. You just wander around playing. It doesn't even work when I take you in to our bed any more. Tonight, you relaxed for a while, but then started playing. You touched my nose and said "nose". You then kept pointing to different parts of my face and yours and saying "ear", "eye", "hair", "mouth", "hands", and "toes". You are so smart. At one point while you were playing, you layed your head down on a foot stool next to one of your baby dolls. You silly girl.

Saying No

You sure like to say "no" a lot. Enough said ... I think we'd written to you about this before.

Where's Mommy / Where's Daddy

You can say "mommy" and "daddy" really well now. You point at us and say mommy or daddy. When we ask you "where's daddy or where's mommy", you point at us.

Talking On Phone

You pick up the phone and say "hi". Then you go on to talk jibberish. Then you abruptly say "bye" and hang up. Its pretty cute. I have some videos of it. Here's a picture I clipped out of one of the videos. You're so cute.

Love To Play Outside

You love to go play outside. You point outside and say "uuggh uuggh". You even cry to go outside. You have lots of fun playing outside. Here's a cute picture of you playing outside in your Dora ship fort/toy.

I love you baby girl!
